1st time visitors for lunch. Love the medieval inn look. Someone in medieval garb should walk in. We had the beef dip and the 1516 on tap. Great beer and talk about fast good food. It must have been 10 minutes before our food appeared from order to table. Wow. Love the simple menu with classic pub food. Will definitely be back.
update mid feb 2024 NEW MENU!!!!Tried the chicken tikka masala mmmm good.Some nice variatio s to menu you dont see in most pubs. Food has always been very nice here. Stop in and try the new offerings!Working thru the menu, scotch egg excellentSausage roll excellent, nashville hot chicken excellent, fish n chips excellent.......Had a very nice rib lunch special. Lots of seating and looks like a fun place when its hoppin...Need to try the patio in the summer and will be back for more winter lunch specials!!Update, went back a couple more times, really enjoy the pub grub here, one of my favorites now.June 3 2020, still great pub food, starting to feel like a regular.......Update aug 2023. New owners and still very good pub food although, i miss the butter chicken and skinny friesNov 2023....... had a really good clubhouse on sour dough todayFeb 2024..... YEA skinny fries are back!! Had super steak sandwich lunch special 15 bucks, cooked to the perfect rare for me and dam tasty
Our group of 4 had an amazing meal here. We just stopped in for a late lunch. Not expecting anything but typical pub food. All of our meals were exceptional. My husband didn't even need to dip his beef dip. It was already juicy enough. My poutine was the best I've ever had and there were multiple options. The BLT and the Clubhouse were both a level above typical as well. We will definitely be back next time we're through Vernon. Such a nice surprise. 🙂

The waiter was good, but the food was another story. Our simple order took about 70 minutes to come out of the kitchen ,(no the place wasn't busy) and the quality of the food was bad to put it nicely. Won't be going back. Used to be a nice place but has really gone down hill.
We had dinner tonight at the pub for the first time under new ownership. We'll congrats u just added u self to another mediocre low average restaurant. It was so much better quality food before. No wonder the place was empty.The poutine was no way near it should be and the wings were nothing special. Sorry but u food will not attract tourists or the regular Vernon customers. Sad. But true. What ever happened to good quality food. Sorry won't be back.
