Sharon Osbourne’s 7 nastiest and most explosive feuds ever (2024)

Sharon Osbourne is certainly no stranger to a firey dispute, and her latest scathing putdown aimed at Amanda Holden is pretty much par for the course.

In a recent interview, Amanda seemed to slam Sharon and former X Factor judge Louis Walsh for ‘dissing’ Simon Cowell during theirstint on Celebrity Big Brother.

The Heart Breakfast presenter had said that Sharon and Louis should be ‘grateful’ to Simon for the ‘opportunity’ he gave them to judge onThe X Factor.

However, Sharon wasted no time in responding to the perceived jab that Amanda, 53, made in herDaily Mailinterview, tagging her in a lengthy X post pointing out the ‘factual inaccuracies’ in her interview.

The 71-year-old made a very clear point of listing all of her achievements that Simon wasn’t responsible for, including her pioneering reality show The Osbournes and career as a music manager for bands such as her husband Ozzy Osbourne’s Black Sabbath.

Her statement included a paragraph reading: ‘The truth is, you don’t know me, Amanda. You know nothing about my history in the music industry, my achievements, the artists I have worked with, the shows that I’ve produced, and my global celebrity. Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide.’

Amid the feud, Simon seems to have thrown his support behind Amanda who has not yet addressed Sharon’s post.

Here, we look at Sharon’s most explosive spats from music icons to Hollywood heavyweights and an unlikely child star.

Ashton Kutcher

Sharon blasted Hollywood icon Ashton Kutcher in 2023 when she labelled him the ‘rudest’ celebrity she had ever met.

During a game of Stir the Pot with E News! with daughter Kelly Osbourne, Sharon was asked to share the identity of the rudest star she had ever come into contact with during her time in the industry. She didn’t even pretend to ponder.

‘The guy that’s married to an actress and he used to do That ‘70s Show,’ she announced, to which Kelly replied: ‘Oh, Ashton Kutcher? Really?’

‘Yes. Oh, rude, rude, rude. Rude little boy,’ she continued.

When her daughter admitted she wasn’t ‘prepared’ for the answer, and clarified if she really meant his name, Sharon added: ‘Yes. Dastardly little thing.’

In 2018, she told Larry King on his show that the Punked star had a ‘bad attitude.’

She recalled: ‘I got his name wrong so he was p****d. He comes on with an attitude, and he goes, “What have you done in this industry?”

‘And I was like, “Kid, don’t start with me because I’m going to eat you up and s**t you out.’

Dannii Minogue

Sharon has feuded with fellow X Factor judges Simon and Louis, but her most famous rift on the show was that with Australian pop star Dannii Minogue.

Dannii joined the show in 2007, with tension between the pair reportedly stemming from the singer’s relationship with Simon.

The feud seemed to ignite in the same year, with Sharon saying during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show: ‘I feel bad for her because she knows she’s [on the show] for her looks.’

In her memoir, Unbreakable, Sharon claimed that working with Dannii was ‘unbearable, intolerable and an odious chore.’

‘Outwardly, Dannii seemed all, “Ooh, I love kids and puppies”. But in my opinion she was dark, very dark. What you saw was definitely not what you got,’ she wrote.

She added in a separate passage: ‘[The drama was] was unbelievably bad. Dannii had taken to walking past me in the hallway without even making eye contact. I’d like to say it didn’t bother me, but it did.’

Speaking to Australian TV show, Anh’s Brush With Fame, Dannii revealed she wasn’t sure why Sharon didn’t like her.

‘I think [Sharon’s dislike of me] was something to do with me being an “annoying mosquito and I should be squashed”. It was a lot more graphic than “I don’t like you”. I still don’t really know why,’ she said.

In her own 2010 autobiography she claimed that Osbourne had to be removed from her dressing room just 20 minutes before going on air after a fiery row, writing: ‘Five minutes before the start of the first live show in my first series of The X Factor, I was sitting in my dressing room, shaking and weeping quietly into my hands.’

Iron Maiden

As the First Lady of heavy metal following her 41 years of marriage to Black Sabbath icon Ozzy, Sharon has had her fair share of scraps with musicians.

In an infamous incident at Ozzfest in 2005, Sharon cut the power during Iron Maiden’s set, leading a group of people in the crowd to pelt lead singer Bruce Dickinson with eggs.

Why? The singer apparently upset Sharon by saying ‘bad things’ about Ozzy while on stage, so she took matters into her own hands.

In 2022, she reignited their decades-old disagreement by branding Bruce a ‘f*****g a** hole.’

‘Bruce Dickinson is a great singer, but as a person, I’ve worked with him, and he’s not very nice,’ Ozzy said in an interview with Consequence.

While the musician left it at that, Sharon chimed in: ‘Bruce Dickinson is a f*****g p***k. Well, no, he’s not a p***k because a p***k’s nice. He’s a f*****g a** hole.”

‘Because the situation is he was on a tour called Ozzfest. And Ozzy Osbourne was paying him every night to perform. He accepted the gig. He knew what he was doing. He accepted the gig.

‘And every night he would go onstage and say bad things about Ozzy. And the crew and everybody in all the other bands would be like, “Are you letting him get away with it?” And I’m like, “I sure am”, But the last gig was [just outside of] L.A. And I thought, “You mother f****r, now you’re gonna get it”.’

Kanye West

Sharon and Ozzy joined forces in 2022 for their beef with controversial rapper Kanye West, both slammingKanyefor allegedly using a sample from a song without Ozzy’s permission.

In a post on Instagram, Ozzy targeted Kanye amid claims that he used a sample of War Pigs athis album listening party, despite not being given the go-ahead.

The Black Sabbath frontman publicly called the Gold Digger rapper out onsocial media, branding him an ‘antisemite’, following hisshocking comments towards the Jewish community.

Sharon jumped in to defend her husband, sharing a video with the caption: ‘Welcome to the Carnival @kanyewest 🤡 #permissionnotgranted #ironman’.

The clip she shared showed Dave Grohl and Lionel Richie in Studio 666, a horror movie in which Foo Fighters move into a mansion in Encino to complete their new album, but the frontman becomes possessed by supernatural forces.

It’s not the first time she’s taken a swipe at Kanye, with her branding him ‘average’ in 2013.

‘He bores me. He’s an average-looking man with an average talent, but he’s a great salesman,’ she said.

‘He should sell cars because they would f*****g fly out the door. He’s his No. 1 fan.’

In 2016, she jumped to the defence of Taylor Swift amid her own feud with Kanye, calling the rapper a ‘bully’.

Four years later, she called Kanye ‘cringe’ for discussing his then-wife Kim Kardashian’s billionaire status.

Lady Gaga

From defending Ozzy to fighting Kelly’s corner, Sharon unleashed her fury upon Lady Gaga saying she was ‘bullying’ her daughter.

The former X Factor judge laid into Gaga’s fanbase and the Telephone hitmaker herself in 2013 after they apparently sent death threats to her daughter Kelly.

‘Don’t let your fans be so hideously damaging, hurtful, violent…on your website. If you are a Mother Monster, monitor it.

‘Why haven’t you, as a responsible young woman, said, “No violence on my website, no violence, no threats, no violence.”’

‘It only takes one young person that wants attention’ to start trouble, she continued.

‘One person that wants attention…over her not wanting to lean out to her Little Monsters to say, “Hey guys, I love you, I understand you, [but] not everyone does. Please don’t be violent on my site.’”

The Paparazzi singer slammed Kelly in an open letter, suggesting that the reality star’s work on E!’s Fashion Police ‘breeds negativity’ and encourages people to be judgemental, urging her to ‘take responsibility and accountability.’

Sharon then stepped in, branding Gaga ‘a bully’ over her criticism of Kelly. She also said her letter was ‘full of contradictions’ and said it should have remained private.

‘You say her work on E! with the Fashion Police is “rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another”. Welcome to the real world.’

She also took aim at the singer for supposedly promoting guns, saying on her US show The Talk: ‘Everything is guns, guns, guns,’ she said refereeing to Gaga’s tour outfit of a bra fitted with fake assault rifles.

‘This is not right, and she should be stopped.’

Justin Bieber

Sharon landed herself in hot water and was accused of racism after scathing remarks she made about Justin Bieber in 2013.

The X Factor matriarch savaged the singer after his tour bus was raided by police in a drugs bust – just as he tried to clean up his image by denying he gobbed on fans earlier in the week.

‘I think that he’s lost, I really do,’ she told The Daily Beast. ‘I think he doesn’t realise he’s white and not black – that’s a huge problem. And, at the point he’s at in his career, it’s so dangerous because we’ve seen it all before a million times.’

Warning the Beauty And A Beat singer is on the road to ruin like other teen stars, she wanted said: ‘Where do you go when you’re a child entertainer and then you want to transition to be a man? Very few make it.’

A year later, her words were decidedly harsher as she said Justin ‘needs a good slap.’

‘He needs a good slap. He is surrounded by the wrong people, by kiss a***s. I would say, put your little a*** in the studio and don’t come out until you have a great body of work,’ she said (per First Post).

Sharon has since expressed regrets over her comments and has apologised to the Stay hitmaker.

‘I have apologized to him before, and it’s Justin Bieber, because he did something. And when I was doing another talk show, I said, “He’s really bad, and how can his parents let him do that?” and all that,’ she told E! News.

‘And I’m like, “Who am I to say that he’s bad? He’s a kid. Leave him alone.” And I felt really terrible after saying it, and I felt such guilt.’

America (the country…)

Celebrities aren’t the only figures at risk of Sharon’s sharp words as she took aim at the US as a whole earlier this year.

The star claimed she cannot find work in the States amid racism allegations in a conversation with fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemates Lauren Simon and Louis Walsh.

‘I got banned in America,’ she began, as Louis insisted that she ‘did nothing wrong.’

‘I can legally but nobody will employ me, because they say I’m racist,’ Sharon replied.

‘How can you be racist?’ Lauren asked as Sharon agreed: ‘I know!’

‘They think we don’t know what it’s like to be picked on, I wouldn’t pick on anyone because of their race or religion ever,’ she went on.

In 2021, Sharon left US talk show The Talk, aftera heated row she became embroiled in with co-host Sheryl Underwood about criticismsPiers Morganmade aboutMeghan Marklefollowing her andPrince Harry’s bombshell interview withOprah Winfrey.

Sharon becameincreasingly emotional as she fiercely defended Piers, telling Sheryl to ‘educate me’ on racism and saying that she felt she was being ‘put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is racist’.

She laterreleased an apologyonline regarding her conduct on the show, in which she said that she has ‘deep respect and love for the Black community’.
